BORN Group engaged us to work with them as part of the Lindt & Sprüngli digital transformation and global unification roadmap. This phase of the project saw the Lindt brands in the United States migrate from IBM Websphere to Adobe Commerce Cloud. We provided a technical leadership and development package to Born Group, working with their internal team to deliver the project on time and on budget.
Working with Redbox Digital, we were engaged to work on the Fortnum & Mason digital transformation project. We worked with Redbox Digital to build a headless ecommerce website that was integrated with Fortnum & Mason's ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365. The website was a huge success, with a 120% increase in daily sales during the busy festive period.
After consultation, we rebranded as Magen2, a name that we feel better reflects our focus on Magento 2 and headless ecommerce. This year also saw our next move, from Manchester to Warrington, with our aims to be more climate focussed we ditched the traditional office and rolled out a remote working policy.
The API changes in Magento 2 allowed us to start working with headless ecommerce. We worked to add a multitude of API endpoints, security, performance enhancements and custom integrations with elasticsearch, we were able to build a headless ecommerce website that was faster, more secure and more flexible than traditional ecommerce websites.
Magento 2 was announced in 2014, with a complete overhaul of the Magento platform. We began working with Magento 2 in its early stages, the general release of Magento2 was a huge improvement on the original Magento platform, with a more modern architecture and the ability to interchange between core functionality and third-party services with relative ease.
As Magento grew in popularity, we began to work with larger clients who required the additional features, performance and support that Magento Enterprise offered.
Working in an evolving retail market, Safewire began to offer their existing customers a turnkey e-Commerce package with minimal effort required by their clients. We worked with Safewire to fully integrate Magento with their ERP system, ARX, to allow Safewire's customers to manage their catalog, inventory, pricing and promotions, CRM and email marketing entirely from within their existing ERP.
As early adopters of Magento, we recognised its potential as a robust and feature-rich ecommerce platform. We studied the documentation, attended training sessions, engaged with the emerging Magento community and familiarised ourselves with the platform's architecture, functionalities, and customisation options.
Minimus Software was founded in Derbyshire in 2007 by Mathew Marchant, adding a brand to the web development projects being worked on in his spare time. Working as a digital transformation engineer for an ERP supplier, we saw the switch from mail order catalogues to ecommerce, an industry that was just finding its feet with a lack of solid eCommerce Frameworks that could be tailored to exact requirements.
A positive workplace is essential to business productivity and the success of projects, poor workplace cultures are estimated to cost the UK economy £23.6 billion annually, caused by the knock-on effects to employee mental and physical health, drop in productivity and employee turnover. We believe people should enjoy the time they spend at work, they should feel valued and take pride in the work that they put their names to, and for that reason we signed the Breathe Culture Pledge to help build a positive company culture. Our pledge is a commitment to review our business policies, everything we are doing, with a commitment to improve wherever we can.
We recognise the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance as a key part of employee wellbeing. We understand that a balanced lifestyle contributes to increased productivity and overall job satisfaction. We actively encourage our employees to take regular breaks, prioritise self-care, and establish boundaries between work and personal life. By promoting a healthy work-life balance, we aim to reduce burnout, enhance mental and physical health, and foster a positive work environment where employees can thrive. We are proud to include a certified mental health first aider as permanent member of our team, who is trained to provide initial support to colleagues who may be experiencing mental health challenges. Our mental health first aider strives to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where employees can openly discuss their concerns and seek the help they need. We firmly believe that investing in mental health resources is crucial for the wellbeing of our employees and ultimately leads to higher productivity and job satisfaction.
